Class Description
This course applies military mission planning techniques to law enforcement
operations. This course will help students become organized decision managers
and mission leaders. The course introduces general frameworks to help students
plan any mission and lead their organizations. Upon course completion of the
course the students will be able to use Tactical Leading Procedures (TLPs) and the
Tactical Decision Making Process (TDMP) to write Mission Plans (a Concept-ofthe-
Operation and an Operation Order), give a professional mission brief, and to
conduct an After Action Review (AAR). This course is designed to be highly
experiential and hands-on. This is not a class on tactics: at its core it is about
improving time and information management as well as risk mitigation for tactical
leaders. Taught by a Special Forces soldier with 6 combat deployments.
